Take 1 Rebrands to VITAC

Media and entertainment transcription, access, and localization services provider Take 1 has officially rebranded into VITAC, the fellow provider of localization services which was also acquired in 2022 by Take 1 parent company Verbit.

Take 1 was acquired by Verbit in July 2022, and had been working closely with VITAC ever since. Established in 1998, Take 1 has been tapped by global media brands such as ITV America, NPR and Warner Bros.

Discovery for its comprehensive portfolio of services, including start-to-finish transcription and captioning services for video content, and its established presence in the OTT market in both the U.S. and UK.

“Although the Take 1 name is changing, the high caliber of service and the way customers work with the team will not,” Verbit said in an announcement. “From upload through delivery, the company focus on accessibility, accuracy, and client service remains the same. If you’ve ever contacted Take 1, you no doubt will have spoken with a member of their award-winning support team. They will continue to be there as always to help with any questions or concerns you have.

“Importantly, the rebrand will have no impact on any ongoing client work. As VITAC, customers will continue to receive the same superior transcription, access, and localization service they’ve come to know and expect. Becoming part of the VITAC brand enables clients to have greater access to even more transcription, captioning, audio description, and localization solutions, including additional resources and technical expertise. And as one collective brand, we are well positioned to drive accessibility and localization forward — both within the UK and around the world — with expanded services and innovative solutions to meet your access needs.”

Data security processes, GDPR compliance, accuracy levels and upload to booking process will not be affected, the company said.
