ITS: Automation! Event Offers Latest on Cloud Localization Blueprint

The September 15 ITS: Automation event being held during IBC at the W Amsterdam will see a host of discussions covering the role of automation in media and entertainment today, including its impact on one of the big surprises from the 2022 IBC Show: the Cloud Localization Blueprint (CLB) .

In the discussion “Cloud Localization Blueprint II (What’s Next?)” Caroline Baines, senior director of MESA’s Content Localisation Council, and Mary Yurkovic, director of MESA’s Smart Content Council, examine the next phase of Fabric’s Cloud Localisation Blueprint, which was featured as an accelerator project at last year’s IBC. Now, in collaboration with MESA and the Content Localisation Council, new participants are coming together with the same objective of creating stable workflows with a cloud-based solution.

“I’m really excited to be talking to attendees of the upcoming MESA ITS: Automation event about the re-boot of the Cloud Localization Blueprint,” Baines said. “After a very successful launch at the 2022 IBC’s Accelerator Programme we want to discuss how we move the initiative forward with the help of the Content Localisation Council and how our members can get involved. Having visibility of the whole supply chain for localization is vital to help meet continuing demand, to hit timelines and provide greater workflow efficiencies.”

This inaugural ITS: Automation! event, produced by MESA and sponsored by Amazon Studios Technology, Fabric, Eluvio, EIDR, and HAND (Human & Digital), will run from 3-6 p.m. and examines the role automation is playing in workflows, metadata, cloud operations, and even how we license, track, and monetise our talent.
