Microsoft to Stress Importance of Executive Support at Content Protection Summit

The theme of the April 17 Content Protection Summit at NAB (CPS@NAB), being held at the SAHARA Theater in Las Vegas, is “Connected Complexity: Securing the Evolving Entertainment Supply Chain.”

James Dunkelberger, partner director of program management for Microsoft, will bring a related theme to his presentation at the event: security in any organization is only at its best when the C suite buys in.

His discussion — “Leading Security Teams with Strong Executive Support” — will examine strategies to engage executives and gain support from senior leadership around risk management strategy as a positive impact to the company’s growth of core products and services.

Because though leading areas such as “security” within large companies can be very challenging (especially if the executive suite see security as more of a tactical cost than a strategic element and business-builder), having a top-down approach to security is proving more important than ever before.

Since 2018, the Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA) has gathered the security community in Las Vegas during NAB for the Content Protection Summit. The afternoon of keynotes, panels and industry insights will examine the entire entertainment supply chain. The event will be both in-person and online in the MESAVerse, MESA’s virtual work environment for its members and communities.

The 2023 Content Protection Summit is presented by Fortinet and sponsored by Convergent, Signiant, Verimatrix, Eluvio, NAGRA, PDG Consulting and EIDR. The event is produced by MESA, in association with NAB and the Content Delivery and Security Association (CDSA).
