LucidLink Shares Cloud-First Remote Production Ideas at HITS Spring

At the May 12 Hollywood Innovation and Transformation Summit (HITS) Spring event cloud software specialist LucidLink will offer ideas on how a cloud-first approach to remote production can ease the filmmaking process post-pandemic.

Their presentation — “Remote Production Should be Easier. It can Be” —will look at how new remote work responsibilities have turned many M&E projects on their heads, and share why remote video editing, file access, and collaboration don’t have to be challenging, not when solutions exist that are infinitely scalable and accessible, no matter the location.

“Remote production used to mean taking a laptop home from work,” said Dennis Radeke, director of sales for M&E at LucidLink. “In the wake of COVID-19, the need for scalable remote editing is critical to success. With a cloud NAS solution, you can not only address remote production regardless of where people are located but it is scalable, accessible, and secure, enabling you to expand your talent pool and safely meet your deadlines.”

Radeke will be joined by Richie Murray, media workflow and cloud technologist for LucidLink, and Jeff Om, colorist and director of cloud service for Eclipse Tech, as they demonstrate how global broadcast companies and post-production teams are seamlessly working together from any location, accessing files and projects, directly from the cloud, using LucidLink.

“The COVID crisis has changed movie-making forever,” Om said. “It truly has gone global and work from anywhere. Eclipse Tech’s virtual machines with Lucid link allow you to work with large files, collaborate, and play them back, in real-time anywhere with a good internet connection.”
