Zixi Aims to Make Content Delivery Smarter

If you’re looking to virtualise your live streaming workflow, machine learning techniques are quickly becoming the go-to in order to provide the most robust video transport and analysis solutions for unmanaged networks possible.

That was the message Tim Baldwin, head of product for Zixi, brought to audiences at the 5th Nov  Smart Content Summit EU event, in the presentation “Leveraging Data to Ensure Broadcast-Quality Delivery Across IP Workflows.”

The discussion covered how workflows are shifting toward software-defined solutions, with a rapid shift toward cloud virtualisation for a cost-effective, flexible broadcast infrastructure, and a need to ensure broadcast-quality across workflows using machine learning and artificial intelligence toolsets via a comprehensive platform.

Zixi’s software-defined video platform (SDVP) offers live stream orchestration and telemetry to guarantee broadcast quality services at scale using any IP network, Baldwin shared, with traditional broadcasters, OTT platforms and service providers alike calling on it to source, manage, and distribute live events and live linear channels over any IP network, protocol, cloud provider and edge device.

Dubbed a “universal gateway to a global video network,” Zixi’s SDVP is future-proofed with nearly 20 integrated protocols, adaptive to new configurations and workflows, and Interoperable with more than 200 integrated partners.
