Testronic Debuts New L.A. Headquarters

Quality assurance and localisation firm Testronic has moved into its new headquarters in Burbank, with the new facility offering expanding capacity and new QA technologies.

The bigger home base for the company is geared toward handling increased demand for Testronic’s automation, OTT, streaming, master QC and disc QC services, all of which have become more sought after during the pandemic.

Testronic will continue to have a presence in downtown Burbank headquarters, and will also continue offering services out of its offices in London, Warsaw, Santiago de Chile, Romania and Serbia.

“As the ‘Golden Eyes of Hollywood,’ providing testing for the film industry and now the streaming industry, we needed to expand space for our staff and our facility to support the volume of work coming through our facility,” said Testronic president Jason Gish. “Our experienced and highly trained staff need facilities that can support all the major platforms that consumers are using to ensure the work from the major studios and streaming partners can be tested for optimal consumer experience.”

More than doubling the capacity of its previous facility, the new Burbank headquarters offers two mastering theatres along with seven mastering bays, providing the ability to expand into another eight bays as needed. Testronic has added increased storage capacity with a Quantum SAN with 192 TB tier one storage and 864 TB tier two storage.

Other new investments include Pro Sony monitors, Tektronix and Leader Waveform Rasterizers, Dante audio network for Dolby Atmos, LTO 8 drive for archiving TIFFs, ColorFront Transkoders for playback and rendering of DoVi HDR in 2K, 4K and 8K, ColorFront QC Players, and Dolby Vision certification.
