SoftServe Opens IoT Lab in Ukraine (HITS)

Digital consulting specialist SoftServe has announced the opening of a new Internet of Things (IoT) lab located at Lviv Polytechnic National University in Lviv, Ukraine, enabling students there to work toward an IoT degree with smart device programming and hardware component lesson capabilities included.

Made possible by SoftServe’s partnership with industry partners Sigma Software, PLVision, Intellias, Perfectial, Conscensia, and Vakoms, the new lab will feature 14 workstations that include the latest cutting-edge equipment, including robotics, 3D printers, laser gravers and more.

“Our primary goal for this laboratory is to inspire the next generation of innovative problem solvers by expanding their IT ecosystem,” said Zenoviy Veres, education director at Lviv IT Cluster and solution architect at SoftServe. “Attendance has doubled for the program, necessitating a bigger space for students to learn programming basics. By providing the right tools in a dedicated learning environment, we ensure students have a solid foundation in IoT and the skill sets to build their careers as they shape the future.”

This is the second IoT lab SoftServe has opened in the Ukraine this year, with a similar one at King Danylo University launching in April.
