Davigel Selects OpenText to Streamline Global Supply Chain (HITS)

OpenText today announced that Davigel, a leading provider of branded frozen and chilled food products, has selected OpenText to manage critical B2B information flows across Davigel’s global network of suppliers and customers.

With over 65,000 customers and suppliers, Davigel required a secure digital trading platform to streamline and automate B2B transactions including invoice management, order processing, and delivery schedules. Working with OpenText has enabled Davigel to minimize business disruption and meet the aggressive timelines for implementation imposed as part of the divestiture from Nestlé.

Previously owned by Nestlé, Davigel was acquired by the London-based Brakes Group in 2015. Following the acquisition, Davigel needed to migrate its extensive partner community of customers and logistics providers from the Nestlé platform to its own with zero disruption to the business, while maintaining the highest levels of security and availability.

“It was very important – both for Davigel and Brakes Group – that the ability to transact and communicate with our logistics partners and customers was uninterrupted by the change of ownership,” commented Paul Lavoquet, CIO, Brakes Group. “For Davigel, we needed to be confident that all existing logistics providers and customers are able to exchange business information with us securely and efficiently. By standardizing the Davigel business on OpenText, we will be able to meet both of these vital goals.”

Paul Lavoquet continued, “Since implementing OpenText B2B Managed Services at Davigel, we have seen a number of key benefits while maintaining uninterrupted trading with existing customers and when on-boarding new trading partners and managing these existing and new relationships.”

Davigel also uses OpenText Active Invoices with Compliance to manage critical invoice compliance with its customers, automating time-consuming invoicing processes to cut processing times, simplify workflows, and assist with country specific electronic invoice requirements.
